Assistant Chief Engineering Officer
Computer Systems Specialist
CHIEF ENGINEERING OFFICER
This character has the overall responsibility of managing and maintaining the physical structure of the ship which include the engines, the warp core, the computer systems, environmental systems, transporter systems and control, weapons, power plants and manufacturing plants.
CEO's main location of play is in the Engineering section, but he/she has an engineering station on the bridge and in auxilliary control as well. Engineering Officers can be included in away missions that include repairing or investigating technology
This is a department leadership position that normally sees a high level of inclusions in nearly all missions.
ASSISTANT CHIEF ENGINEERING OFFICER
The Assistant Chief Engineer assists the Chief Engineer in the daily work; in issues regarding mechanical, administrative matters and co-ordaining repairs with other departments.
If so required the Asst. Chief Engineer must be able to take over as Chief Engineer, and thus must be versed in current information regarding the ship or facility.
COMPUTER SYSTEMS SPECIALIST
The Computer Systems Specialist is a specialized Engineer. The new generation of Computer systems are highly developed. This system needs much maintenance and the Computer Systems Specialist was introduced to relieve the Science Officer, whose duty this was in the very early days.
A small team is assigned to the Computer Systems Specialist, which is made up from NCO personnel assigned by the Asst. and Chief Engineer. The Computer Systems Specialist reports to the Asst and Chief Engineer.
